Prior to Colliers International, Welch spent more than 22 years as a broker for CB Richard Ellis where he was involved in nearly $750 million and 5 million square feet of sales, acquisitions, development and leasing of office, industrial, and R&D product. His clients included household names such as American Express, Citicorp, The Irvine Company, Federal Express, Equitable Life and Mass Mutual Life Insurance.

Before breaking into the real estate industry, Welch held corporate management positions with The Upjohn Company, a pharmaceutical manufacturing firm, where he was involved in strategic planning and governmental affairs of the firm. Welch was also an approved instructor for the California Department of Real Estate’s Continuing Education Program.

Welch received a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance from Adrian College in Michigan and is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
